Nancy, a veteran in the biopharmaceutical industry, joined PDI in November 2008 as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Ms. Lurker has more than 25 years of experience in pharmaceutical sales, marketing, and commercial operations. Prior to joining PDI, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation (the US subsidiary of Novartis AG), where she oversaw a product portfolio in multiple therapeutic areas representing multi-billion dollars in annual sales. Ms. Lurker was also President and CEO of ImpactRx, Group Vice President-Global Primary Care Products for Pharmacia Corporation, and a member of Pharmacia’s US Executive Management Committee. She began her career at Bristol Myers Squibb, where she quickly rose from Senior Sales Representative to Senior Director of Worldwide Cardiovascular Franchise Management during her 14-year tenure. Ms. Lurker graduated magna cum laude with a BS in biology and chemistry from Seattle Pacific University, and holds an MBA from the University of Evansville (Evansville, IN).
EVP, CFO, and Treasurer
Jeff joined PDI as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer in May 2006. He has over 30 years of broad-based finance, accounting, and general management experience and over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Formerly a Senior Vice President, Finance, Chief Financial Officer of PLIVA, Inc., a growth-oriented generic pharmaceutical company. From 1985 to 2002, he served in various executive positions, including Executive Vice President, Finance, Chief Financial Officer, and Acting President and member of the Office of the Chief Executive with ALPHARMA, Inc., an acquisition and growth-oriented, NYSE-listed, global specialty pharmaceutical company. He is a certified public accountant who began his career with Coopers & Lybrand, now PricewaterhouseCoopers.
President, Sales Services
Gerald is a biopharmaceutical industry veteran who was promoted to President, Sales Services in October 2012 after serving as PDI’s Senior Vice President of Business Development since October 2011. Previously, he was the General Manager for the Southeast Operating Unit for Novartis. From 2004 to 2008, he was Vice President of the Novartis ABGIU Business Franchise, responsible for leading marketing and strategic planning for key in-line brands, multiple product launches, key partnerships, and joint ventures. Prior to Novartis, Gerald spent 15 years at Pharmacia, Inc. and a predecessor company, Upjohn, where he had broad sales and marketing experience across several therapeutic areas. Throughout his career, he has successfully led the launch of brands and new indications in multiple therapeutic areas, including antibiotics, antidepressants, antihypertension, antivirals, diabetes, gastroenterology, hormone replacement, osteoporosis, pain and inflammation, and urinary incontinence.
SVP and Chief Information Officer
General Manager, Group DCA, LLC
Jo Ann joined PDI in 2005 and brings over 20 years of experience in information technology strategic planning, execution, and management. In her role as Chief Information Officer for PDI, she is responsible for all field sales technology, including sales force automation, data management, and the integration of multichannel solutions to optimize product sales. As General Manager of Group DCA, she is accountable for growth of the digital content product line and its operations, development of mobile apps, and DCA's proprietary HCP panel of physicians. Prior to PDI, Jo Ann served as Director, Relationship Management at Prudential Financial, Corporate Technology Services division, and previously held various management and technical positions at IBM Global Services. She holds 2 bachelor degrees from Rutgers University and a master in computer science from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and has completed significant work towards her Ph.D. in Information Systems at NJIT.
SVP, Commercialization Unit
General Manager, Interpace BioPharma, LLC
John joined PDI in August 2011 as SVP, Commercialization Unit and General Manager of Interpace BioPharma. He is a policy level senior executive and operating officer with 37 years of extensive experience in general management, sales, marketing, direct to consumer advertising, strategic planning and business execution. He has extensive international business experience developing strong global commercial teams to successfully launch pharmaceuticals. Before joining PDI and Interpace, Mr. Parsons was President and Chief Commercial Officer for Topotarget USA Inc. a division of Topotarget Denmark where he was responsible for establishing the USA corporation and gaining approval for and launching their first oncology product in the USA. Prior to Topotarget he founded Parsons Strategic Associates (PSA), a strategic consulting firm focused on the emerging biotechnology industry. The consulting practice was responsible for working with emerging life science companies to successfully build their commercial infrastructures. Prior to founding PSA, Mr. Parsons held senior management positions and was a member of the Executive Committee at Innovex, the commercial division of Quintiles, and BASF Pharma (Abbott/Knoll), where Mr. Parsons was a commercial business director and a member of the executive committee. He holds a Chemistry degree from Indiana University, Bloomington and has earned several advanced certificates from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
SVP, Established Relationship Sales and Commercial Operations
Frank joined PDI in June 2010 after spending 36 years at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Company and its predecessor, Ciba-Geigy. He served in various roles, including most recently, Vice President and Head of the Sales Center of Excellence, and formerly held the role of Vice President of Field Analysis, Training, and Sales Operations. In these assignments, he led key functions that supported the field organization in addressing the needs of Novartis customers, advancing the skills and competencies of field associates, and driving sales results. In addition, he led many strategic initiatives and projects impacting the sales organization and served on the Senior Sales Leadership Committee for many years. Frank holds a master’s degree in public administration from New York University and a BS from Fairfield University.
Chief Innovations Officer
Ron joined Group DCA (now a PDI company) as an original member of the executive team, starting out as Creative Director to launch the company as a new interactive eDetailing agency, and eventually rising to his current role as Chief Innovations Officer. During his tenure, he impacted multiple strategic areas of the business, holding executive roles in Creative, Technology, Marketing, and Sales. An entrepreneur and early technology adopter, Ron is dedicated to bringing a superior experience to the users of Group DCA’s award-winning interactive programs. Ron has a keen intuition, and with his expansive knowledge of the various needs of core audiences and clients, he is a natural innovator. Prior to Group DCA, he held creative and marketing roles at Medical Economics, Premier Healthcare Resource, CommonHealth, and PennWell Corporation.
SVP, Human Resources
Jenn joined PDI in January 2012, bringing more than 20 years of progressive and innovative human resource management experience to the company. A dynamic and progressive thinker, Jenn has orchestrated impressive success crafting, managing, and implementing HR policies, procedures, and programs that transform organizations, strengthen teams and work groups, and drive excellence. Prior to PDI, she was the Executive Director, Human Resources Planning & Development at Novartis, responsible for executive coaching, talent management, and key employee engagement and retention. She has served as Senior Director, Human Resources at Biovail Pharmaceuticals, leading the HR function for US Commercial Operations, as Director, Human Resources at Pharmacia, and as Human Resources Manager for Boston Scientific. She holds a master in organizational development and human resources from the University of San Francisco and a BA in psychology from UCLA, and is an ICF-Certified Professional Coach.
